A Strukta alternative built for civils and groundworks
Strukta and PlanFalcon both turn UK planning applications and public tenders into ranked construction leads. The difference is who they are tuned for. Strukta covers a broad range of trades, from M&E and roofing to fire safety. PlanFalcon is tuned for civils, groundworks, drainage and highways work and the suppliers who sell into it.
Free plan, plus a 14-day trial of the paid features. No card required.

Choose Strukta if…
- Named contacts with direct emails and mobile numbers matter more to you than anything else.
- You work in a trade outside civils and groundworks, such as M&E, roofing, cladding or fire safety.
- You want the cheapest paid entry point: Strukta Basic is £19.99 a month.
Choose PlanFalcon if…
- You do civils, groundworks, drainage or highways work, or supply firms that do.
- You want to know a site’s flood zone, conservation area or listed-building status before you quote.
- You want contract award notices, so you know which main contractor to approach for a subcontract package.
- You run lead generation for several construction clients and need each one’s leads kept separate.
- You want a free plan to keep watching one area without a subscription.
Tuned for one part of the industry
A broad tool has to treat a new shopfront, a hospital wing and a 200-home estate as equally interesting until you tell it otherwise. PlanFalcon starts with the opposite assumption. It reads applications for the things that create civils work, such as new access roads, drainage strategies, earthworks, plot numbers and site area, and scores down the householder and minor applications that make up most of any register.
If that is your market, you spend less time setting up filters and more time on the schemes at the top of the list.
Context before you pick up the phone
Each lead in England shows the site constraints recorded by the government’s Planning Data service, including flood zones, conservation areas, listed buildings, tree preservation areas and green belt. A drainage contractor wants to know about a flood zone before quoting. A groundworks firm wants to know about a listed building next door.
PlanFalcon also shows how long each council typically takes to decide applications, from the government’s own planning statistics, so you can judge when a submitted scheme is likely to become real work.
Where Strukta is the better fit
Strukta is stronger on contacts. Its paid plans include reveals of business emails, phone numbers and mobiles for people on a record. PlanFalcon names the agent and applicant firms and their public business details, but does not sell personal contact details. Strukta also covers a wider spread of trades, and its Basic plan is cheaper than PlanFalcon Pro. Both have a free trial without a card, so the honest test is to run the same area in each for a week.
Questions
- Is there an alternative to Strukta?
- Yes. PlanFalcon is the closest alternative for civils, groundworks, drainage and highways businesses. Planning Pipe suits householder-focused trades, and Glenigan and Barbour ABI are the larger enterprise construction databases.
- How much does Strukta cost?
- When we checked their pricing page on 3 November 2026: Basic £19.99, Plus £39.99 (shown at £29.99 as an early-customer offer) and Pro £49.99 a month, with a Teams plan at £129.99 marked as coming soon. Check strukta.io for current prices.
- Does PlanFalcon have a free plan?
- Yes. You can watch one area for free with no time limit. Paid plans start at £29 a month, with a 14-day free trial and no card needed.
- Is Strukta the same company as the Strukta builders merchant?
- No. The construction leads product is at strukta.io. The builders merchant at strukta.co.uk is a separate business.
- Can an agency use PlanFalcon for several clients?
- Yes. The Agency plan covers 5 client profiles and 3 users, and Agency Plus covers 15 clients and 5 users. Each client gets leads ranked against their own services and area, and exports keep them separate.
