The proposed pruning is intended as routine garden and tree maintenance, helping to keep the tree in a manageable condition while retaining its overall health and appearance. 2 - Red Tipped Photinia We would like to undertake pruning of the Red Tipped Photinia to maintain its size and shape. We would like to undertake crown cleaning which would not exceed 0.5m reduction of the crown. The work is proposed as general maintenance to prevent excessive growth. 3 - Cherry Tree We would like to undertake pruning of the Cherry tree to maintain its size and shape. We would like to reduce the crown by 0.5m. The work is proposed as general maintenance to prevent excessive growth. 4 - Silver Birch Tree The Silver Birch is dead. Given its dead condition, we would like to remove the tree to eliminate the risk of it falling. 5 - Crab Apple Tree The Crab Apple tree is currently growing very close to, and is touching, the house/roof. We are concerned that its proximity to the building could be causing damage to the foundations and roof. In addition, the trunk of the tree does not appear to be in good health, and there is visible evidence which may indicate infection or disease. We therefore would like to remove the tree. 6-9 - Conifers (Leylandii) The conifers identified are dead and are currently heavily covered with Ivy. We would therefore like to remove and replant to maintain and improve the landscaping and greenery of the garden.

  Attached is a site plan RG-T001 which marks up each tree with a reference number T1-T6 Sycamore (T1) - remove any minor shoots where previous lower branches have been removed and seal Sycamore (T2) - remove any minor shoots where previous lower branches have been removed and seal Sycamore (T3) - remove any minor shoots where previous lower branches have been removed and seal Sycamore (T4) - lift the crown of the tree to the northeast side of the tree (furthest from the house) up by approx 4-5m, so the canopy lines matches trees T1-3, T5 and allow more light onto the bottom end of the garden. This portion of the tree is not visible from the road. Sycamore (T5) - remove 4-5 offshoot branches from right fork of tree (when looking from the house) which over hang neighbours garden and are very close to their roof (see photo for additional information) Pine (T6) - proposed to be felled to ground level. Reason: the needles collect and hold dust which severely affects two of the residents who have hay fever and asthma. The tree being a pine is out of keeping with the rest of the sycamore group. It blocks the low level views through the main sycamore trees to the bottom end of the garden. It does not affect the main tree grouping from the road (see marked up photo from the road). Trees are within G1 of TPO 55.
