PlanningPing is now PlanFalcon

PlanningPing is now PlanFalcon, at planfalcon.com.

It's the same product and the same company, with the same accounts and data behind it. Only the name and the web address have changed.

Why the new name

PlanningPing started as a way to get a "ping" when a new planning application appeared near you. It has grown well beyond that. It now finds the applications worth pursuing for groundworks, civils and drainage firms, scores them, and helps you work them into a pipeline.

A falcon spots things from a long way off and moves first. That's the job: see the right projects early, before anyone else is on site.

What stays the same

• Your account. Sign in the same way as before, with the same email address.
• Your data. Tracked areas, saved leads, pipeline and settings are all exactly where you left them.
• Your plan and price. Nothing about your subscription has changed.
• Your alerts. They arrive on the same schedule, covering the same councils.

What's different

• The address. The site now lives at planfalcon.com. Old planningping.com links and bookmarks forward automatically to the same page on planfalcon.com, so nothing you've saved is broken.
• Emails come from @planfalcon.com. Alerts come from notifications@planfalcon.com, and login emails from noreply@planfalcon.com. If your company filters email, add both to your safe senders so nothing lands in spam.
• Bank statements. Card payments now appear as PLANFALCON.

Two small things you might notice

• Two-factor authentication. If you set up an authenticator app before the change, it may still show the entry as "PlanningPing". That's only a label. The codes work exactly as before, and you don't need to do anything.
• Search results. For a few weeks, Google may still show some pages under the old name. Clicking them takes you to the right place on planfalcon.com.
